Green Bay Trip

We'll be taking a trip to Green Bay this summer. . .and I feel like it's my job to completely plan this one. Here are some things we could do.

Neville Public Museum - $8 for the family - The ongoing Wisconsin exhibit, History of Wisconsin Cheese Making, and some Kids exploration stuff. Maybe the kids are too young.

210 Museum Place, Green Bay, Wisconsin 54303

Say Cheese! The Story of Wisconsin Cheese From the farmer's herd to the cheese factory, visitors of all ages will be enlightened and engaged by this extensive, all-new exhibit. Explore the past and future of cheese making in Wisconsin through hands-on activities; historic artifacts and photos; see how milk is transformed into different varieties of cheeses and gain a new appreciation about the importance of the dairy industry!

Bay Beach Amusement Park and Wildlife Sanctuary
Tickets are now 25 cents. Was 10 cents when I was young. Talk about extortion.
Free admission to the sanctuary. Wolves, birds, and lots of stuffed animals.
Open 8AM - 7:30PM
1660 East Shore Drive, Green Bay, WI 54302

Heritage Hill State Historical Park
$20 for the family. Kids get to see people dressed up the way they used to be. Great old buildings. When my uncle Frederick visited we drove by and Mom told him about the place he commented "Nice water tower." Which is ironic, because as someone who had written three publications on the immigration of the Swedes, Danes , and Swiss to Wisconsin, one would think he could have commented on something else. However, to his credit, the water tower does kick ass. This place also has home school programs on Wednesdays.

The National Railroad Museum
The kids love trains but it's $24.50 for the family. Kinda spendy for a quick trip.

810 Brookwood West Where I grew up. Currently home to some counterfeiters. Definately a must see.

New Zoo
4378 Reforestation Rd. Green Bay, WI 54313 920-434-7841
$10 for the family - Open Daily 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
