Friday night Sweetheart dance at the YMCA

Friday night Annika and I went to the Sweetheart dance at the Y. Only $8 for all the red punch and candy she could grab. "Dad this juice has ice cream in it" was my favorite line from the evening. We got a photo taken, which I will pick up and post in about a week. The photos I took were not too good. The video was dark and grainy, the photos--off-center.


We danced the YMCA together, and Annika wanted me to hold her up during the slow songs. Sometimes she left me to try and dance with other girls, but mostly it was her grabbing my arms and wanting to spin around me, or wanting me to swing her up in the air and then through my legs, sock-hop style.

It was great. Next year we might even try to practice some dance steps beforehand. . .maybe hip hop?
