Sunday Night Bed Check. . .

Owen: Sleeping in his bed. Not on the floor or in the hall or under the computer desk or using a Rescue Heroes Command Center as a blanket.

Alex: Sleeping on the family room floor, legs exposed.

Annika: Upon my sitting softly on the edge of the bed, she wakes up excitedly:

"Dad! If they get out we'll have to make sure to put them in a cage at the zoo! The boys! And we'll have to get a wild gorilla!

"OK," I say, "I'll tell them that."

"OK. Make sure to tell it to the boys. Annika!"



Um...that short conversation is the obvious reason for this blog post.
