Pictures of the Piano
In previous posts I wrote about how we bought a piano and here are the pictures of it. What struck me about this one was how clean it was. . .most used pianos I have seen are a little dusty. We were told that at each tuning, the technician will usually clean the piano. I believe it.
A side view. No candelabra yet.
Looking down at the hammers (white) and strings. Below this is what they call "the action." I have not pried the front off the piano as Sandy won't let me. . .but I bet it's clean, too.
You're not supposed to play it like this.
The exclusive Harmi-Tone action by Kimball. . .except no substitutes. Unless you know of something that's better, like the combination phosphor bronze repetition and fly spring that Steinway uses in their action, which combined with their half-round balance rail bearings and strategically placed key leads make for an action which is, basically, way better than this Harmi-Tone crap.
