We buried Charlie last night

We were going to bury him under the lilacs but the ground is too hard there. Instead, in the backyard next to the neighbors garage we turned over a large flat rock and dug up the moist earth beneath it. We laid Charlie in his grave. He was buried in a little tin that held a flower and his remains in a plastic bag with some water in it. We each said some things about Charlie and then we covered him with the earth, and rolled the rock back over. I don't know if we will mark the grave, or just remember.
