I think this is big news...

Some Southern Baptists decide that they need to act on climate change. This could have a great impact on the type of candidates that are brought forth and new legislation that is enacted. It is only good news.

Although, the people who wrote it can't seem to get away from the abortion and gay rights debate:

We recognize that Christians are not united around either the scientific explanations for global warming or policies designed to slow it down. Unlike abortion and respect for the biblical definition of marriage, this is an issue where Christians may find themselves in justified disagreement about both the problem and its solutions.
Yeah, that makes sense. Let's tie the issue of the environment to gay marriage. That makes perfect sense.
