Vector Graphics and Rotoscoped Movies
Lately I started experimenting with a new image program called Inkscape, and I found out tonight that it could convert normal bitmap images into vector graphics images. I would be interested to know if this technology could be applied to individual frames of home movies, and I will be testing this and posting my successes. If it works, it could drastically increase image quality for videos. This would be very similar to the Rotoscoping technique that is currently used by some Charles Schwab commercials, and the A-Ha video Take on Me.
